I had my life all planned out, or should I say I was following the plans that were already laid out for me. I went to school and got good grades, obtained my degree, and had just finished completing my Masters's degree in social work.  The only part of the equation remaining was to find a well-paying job that I would work on until it was to retire.


Simple right? Not so for me.

 With a master's degree, I knew I could expect a starting salary of at least $40,000. You can imagine how shocked, surprised, and disappointed I was when I realized my starting salary would be a measly $24,000!


 And if that weren't bad enough, two years later I got laid off due to budget cuts.  How in the world did this happen to me? I did everything they told me to and still ended up jobless! What the what!

From that day forward, my confidence in the default pathway of going to school, getting a job, and working until retirement was forever tainted. Never again would I be able to put all of my dependence on one source or one stream of income. 

After years of frustration and feelings of being stuck, I realized the only thing holding me back was my mindset.  Once I understood this, EVERYTHING CHANGED! I made up my mind to do whatever necessary to be able to live MY LIFE on MY TERMS.

After investing a few years into shifting my mindset around education, work time, and money, I wrote two books on identity and mindset, began speaking, doing workshops, and coaching others who yearned to break free of a 9-to-5 mentality so they could begin creating the life they desired.

I am not totally where I envisioned being yet, but I am well on the way.
